NAPHER-SD department has emerged Champion of the 2nd Edition of Provost Cup after beating Political Science Education department 5:3 on penalties at the College play ground today 27th September,2024.
Political Science Education got early goal in the first half ,while the crowned Champions, NAPHER-SD got a late goal in the additional time of the second half.The match ended 1 all draw for the both side in the regular time.
Earlier, Educational Management trashed Business Education 1 Nil to clinched the bronze medal of the third place.
On the female finals,NCE; Int. Sc.,Bus Edu,Comp,Eng.,SOS,Pol Sc.,Home Econs & all Delsu female Students trashed NCE;PHE & all UNIBEN female students 3 Nil in their finals.
The Provost Cup is an annual football competition that is hosted in honour of the Provost of the Delta State College of Education Mosogar in Affiliation with Delta State University Abraka, University of Benin, Benin-City, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Portharcourt and other affiliate institutions with the aim of promoting sports among students in the College.
Among dignitaries that attended the finals are;Dr. Israel Imide(Provost,Delta State College of Education Mosogar),Dr. Nathaniel Ethel (Deputy Provost of the College),Mr. Simon Fole (Registrar of College),Mrs. Joan Inomi (College Bursar),Dr. Johnbull Emagbetere (Director, UNIBEN),Dr. Moses Ossia (Director, Academic Planning),Mr. Ogaga Oyibo (Dean, Students Affairs),Mr. Ovie Origho (Chairman, SSUCOEN -Mosogar Chapter),Mr. John Ughagbe (Chairman,NASU-Mosogar Chapter),Dr(Mrs) Ufuoma Irenyika,Dr. Ejakpovi Emmanuel (College, Medical Director),Nurse Jane and host of many others.
