Oki family of Mosogar Kingdom attended the burial ceremony of Late Mrs. Lady Umujane in Jesse, Ethiope West L.G.A on Friday 3rd May,2024.
She is mother in-law to Late Mr. Calabar Oki who died several years ago.
Ogwebor family of Oku-oghara community of Mosogar Kingdom was also in attendance on behalf of Late Calabar Oki whom mother is from the family.
Late Mrs. Lady Umujane died at age 105years.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
The annual academic ritual ushered fresh degree students into the University.
The ceremony was colourful and successful to the glory of God.

The Leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) Ethiope West Chapter, paid a congratulatory visit to Chief Hon. Solomon Obareki JP on his recent appointment as Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party after he completed his tenure as substantive Chairman of the Party in the local government council on Thursday 2nd May,2024.
The high profile Christian leaders visit was led by the Chairman of CAN in the Local Government, Bishop Dr. Frank Ugor.
The Christian leaders commended Chief Obareki for his outstanding contributions towards the growth and progress of CAN, as well as his sterling leadership that is characterized by his forthrightness, integrity and genuineness which earned him pass mark in his passionate efforts and contributions to the overall development of Ethiope West L.G.A.
They also affirmed Him as a PDP leader, whom has distinguished and positioned himself as one of the patriotic and trustworthy leaders in the LGA and they "Pass a Vote Of Confidence" on the leadership of Chief Obareki as prayers were offered to enable him succeed in the new assignment and in future endeavors
In his remark, Chief Obareki appreciated Ethiope West CAN for the visit which he counted as privilege, adding that he will continue to work in collaboration with them and every other leaders to bring enduring unity that will foster development.
He further used the opportunity to called on Christians across the local government and state to pray and support the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the successful implementation of the MORE agenda in the collective interest and betterment of the good people of Ethiope West and entire State.
Also speaking, he congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his successful and impactful one year in office as Governor of Delta State with appreciable appointments, projects and infrastructures in Ethiope West L.G.A.
Chief Obareki expressed deep confidence in the administration of Governor Oborevwori, adding that, under the MORE Agenda, Deltans can attest to the good work of the state Governor in terms of human capital and Infrastructural development in the last one year.
The PDP Chieftain also woo members of other political parties to join the ruling party in the state in order to bring more rapid development as witnessed in Ethiope West since 1999,while noting that with PDP, it can always be better.

Chief Amori in a statement he personally signed,praised workers for their sacrifice,resilience,commitment and patriotism towards the growth and development of Nigeria.
The PDP senior leader in Delta State,Senator Amori averred that the role of workers to nation's building can not be overemphasized as they served as the bedrock that sustained the economy through their continuous contributions, service and productivity.
He further called on government across all level to critically look into the plight and condition of workers who are facing various challenges due to high inflation and unstable economy in the midst of their salary whose monetary value can't match the current economic reality of high cost of living.
"On behalf of my family and political associates,I salute, felicitate and praise the gallantry and patriotism of our workers as they joined the rest of the world to marked the 2024 International Workers Day.
