Former DESOPADEC Commissioner,Dr. Henry Ofa has penned down a note to celebrate the 72nd Birthday of Sen(Chief) Dr. Ighoyota Amori JP.

Hearty congratulations to Chief Amori on his 72nd birthday! A distinguished senator, Chief Amori's exceptional ability to coordinate human resources is truly legendary. His unwavering dedication to advancing the Urhobo agenda has earned him recognition and respect, as evident in his instrumental role in the nomination and subsequent victory of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as the Governor of Delta State.
Throughout his illustrious career, Chief Amori has held various political offices, both in party leadership and governance, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. His selflessness and commitment to education have led to numerous institutions being established in Urhobo land, and his robust inputs in policy formulation and execution have been invaluable.
Personally, I have witnessed Chief Amori's selflessness firsthand. In August 1997, he accompanied me to NPEC Kaduna to obtain a clearance letter, enabling me to serve as Education Secretary of Ethiope West Local Government Area. His influence extends far beyond his immediate constituency, earning him a reputation as a detribalized leader.
As he celebrate this milestone birthday, I wish Chief Amori a happy birthday, filled with God's blessings, good health, long life, and prosperity. May his heart's desires be granted, in Jesus' name, Amen.
