PHOTOS: ETHIOPE WEST COUNCILORS SWORN-IN FOR COMMENCEMENT OF 8-ASSEMBLY.

Councilors elected in the July 13 local council election in Ethiope West were sworn-in for the commencement of the 8th Assembly at the legislative Chamber of the Council Secretariat,Oghara-Delta State on Wednesday 17th July,2024.

The new Executive Chairman of Ethiope West,Chief(Hon) Pastor Chris Onogba attended the plenary to witnessed the formal declaration of the 8th Assembly open.

The leadership of the 8th Assembly was also constituted after the 20 Councilors took their Oath of Office.

Principal officers in the 8th Assembly are; Rt. Hon. Felix Ejimiyoma (Leader- Ward 13),Rt. Hon. Elvis Oghenebrorhie Atavwo (Deputy Leader-Ward 9),Hon.  Oki Ebeigbe (Majority Leader-Ward 1),Hon. Benson Odje Arinomor (Chief Whip-Ward 17),Hon. Kingsley Onoriode Omoko (Deputy Majority Leader-Ward 15) and Hon. Akpe Onoriode Wilson (Deputy Chief Whip - Ward 6).

Other Councilors who were sworn-in are; Hon. Oyibo Akpobaro Oghenetega Precious (Ward 2),Hon(Mrs) Royal A. Oghenekevwe (Ward 3),Hon. Erherhebue Udi Thompson Ogheneserome (Ward 4),Hon. Sunday Ididioma (Ward 5),Hon. Omamogho Omonigho Samuel (Ward7),Hon. Otubu Oghenekevwe Clinton (Ward 8),Hon. Wilson Oghenekevwe (Ward 10),Hon. Phibian Loveth Ayigbe (Ward 11),Hon. Ben Eki (Ward 12),Hon. Godstime Omoghene Enyowhara (Ward 14),Hon. Aria Peter (Ward 16),Hon. Edokpolo Obukohwo Fidelson (Ward 18),Hon. Agamugoro E. Christina (Ward 19) and Hon. Engr. Anthony Omuvie Ughwuriyigho (Ward 20).

In his address,the Executive Chairman of Ethiope West, Hon. Chris Onogba congratulated all the newly sworn-in Councilors,while calling for their support and collaboration to ensure both the Executive and Legislative arm work harmoniously to deliver the very best of dividends of democracy to the good people of Ethiope West.

In his acceptance speech,the Leader of the House,Rt. Hon. Felix Ejimiyoma appreciated his colleagues for electing him as their leader, adding that he will do everything possible to provide good leadership for the House.

He also extended his gratitude to all the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Council on behalf of the 20 Wards Councilors elected for their support throughout the electoral process.
