The event which took place during the weekend along Jakpa Road, Effurun/Warri Delta State.
The national president Comr.Prince Pureheart kpeji,in his address,commended the distinguished guest and the impeccable members of Urhobo Youth Association (UYA),the newly inaugurated excos and the National executives for their dedication and upright,in building and promoting unity across Urhobo nation.He also used the avenue to highlights the aims and objectives of the association.
According to the National President, Urhobo Youth Association started in 2009,at Itire Surulere -Lagos with the aim of protecting, defending and promoting our culture and traditions,with the view of uniting and giving Urhobo Youth the needed opportunity to experience the best for their future endeavors.He also point out some of the achievements of the association over the years to includes "Registration of UYA under Corporate Affairs Commission CAC Abuja,a well documented constitution guiding the operation of UYA, Launching of the first Urhobo historical calendar,free medical outreach for members, organising symposium,seminars,debates, cooking and traditional dressing and promoting Urhobo language through partnership with National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) for free Urhobo language classes in Lagos and Warri.
The climax of the event was the oat of office by the new excos,which was conducted by Barr.Kingsley Okes Idisi Esq.
The new Delta chapter President Comr.Crested Gometi,speaking onbehalf of the executive, thank the National Body for the privilege to serve his nation of birth.He said though the task is enormous,he will ensure the goverment is guided and funded on the Constitution.
